The World's Most Remote Distillery

Myken is an island off the Arctic coast of northern Norway, 32 km from the mainland. There are 13 year-round inhabitants on the island, and 8 of them work in the distillery. Since 2014, we have produced award-winning gin and whisky from the most local ingredients available, among them desalinated sea water. Whipped by winter storms, salt spray from the ocean, bathed in Northern Lights and the midnight Sun - our liquids embody life in one of the most extreme whisky-producing locations on earth.
